Safety always comes first. Here's how we handle Welsh weather — and a free tool to check your event-day forecast.
Enter your venue postcode and date (within the next 14 days) and we'll check the Met-Office-aligned forecast for max wind speed and gusts.
Forecast data: Open-Meteo (matches Met Office UK weather model). We always re-check before delivery.
The Welsh weather can be unpredictable. Whilst a bouncy castle can be the highlight of any event, it can also become dangerous in high winds. According to the UK Health & Safety Executive (HSE), inflatables must NOT be used when wind speed (including gusts) exceeds 24 mph.
24 mph is Level 5 on the Beaufort scale — a "Fresh Breeze". At this speed small trees begin to sway and moderate waves form on inland waters. Above this, inflatables can become unstable and may even lift off the ground, posing a serious risk of injury.
Before every event we monitor the local Met Office forecast (the HSE-accepted source). If conditions look close to or exceed the 24 mph limit, we'll contact you to discuss options. In some cases that means rescheduling for a safer day.
If we determine wind conditions are unsafe, we'll let you know as soon as possible. You'll have two options:
We'll always do our best to make your event work — even if that means helping you source a last-minute indoor venue.
If your event is at a hall, community centre or sports venue, wind doesn't affect us. Indoor venues provide a controlled environment — your inflatable is perfectly safe regardless of the weather outside.
Just text us — we'll always be straight with you.
